# Gainsight

> Connect Gainsight to Steerco.

Steerco syncs customer success data, such as companies, CTAs and timeline activity, from Gainsight into your records.

## What you need

* An OAuth API key and secret. A Gainsight super admin creates them.
* Your Gainsight domain. It's the address you use to sign in to Gainsight, such as `acme.us2.gainsightcloud.com`.

## Get your credentials in Gainsight

  <Step title="Create a connection">
    In Gainsight, go to **Administration** > **Connectors 2.0** and click **Create Connection**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the Gainsight API">
    In **Connector**, choose **Gainsight API**. Enter a name in **Name of the connection**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose OAuth">
    Under **Authentication Type**, select **OAuth**. Leave the IP allowlist empty, because Steerco doesn't connect from fixed IP addresses.

  <Step title="Generate the credentials">
    Click **Generate OAuth Credentials**. Copy the OAuth API key and the OAuth API secret.

## Connect Gainsight in Steerco

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your integrations">
    Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Gainsight">
    In the **Connectors** section, click **Add connector**. If the workspace already has connectors, the button reads **Add**. In the **Connect integration** dialog, click the **Gainsight** tile.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your credentials">
    Enter your domain in **Gainsight Domain**, the key in **OAuth API Key**, and the secret in **OAuth API Secret**. Click **Connect your data**.
  </Step>

When the connection works, Steerco shows **Successfully Connected**.
